Shine Council
Inspiring each other to shine!
'Let your light shine, so that others may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.' Matthew 5:16
Our Shine Council members help us to 'let our lights shine' and put our Christian Vision and Christian Values into action in our school and in our daily lives. Each of our Shine Councillors shared with their classes why they would like to be a Shine Councillor and have been voted for democratically in our Pupil Elections at the start of the school year and have a regular meeting with Mrs Walton, the Headteacher.
Their role is to help us make sure we put our Christian distinctiveness into action, and that all our community is reminded to use our Christian Values in all aspects of life.

Here are our Shine Councillors for this school year. Well done for being elected by your classmates in our elections!
The Shine Council led the Harvest Worship in our school hall. They shared a drama telling the Parable of the Sower to the whole school. They collected tins and packets of foods for our local foodbank too before leading us in prayers and Harvest Songs.

Our First Meeting - September
Posted: Oct 23, 2024 by: L Walton (L.Walton) on: Shine Council Blog
We gathered together as a group and discussed what it means to be on the Shine Council. Everyone shared their ideas about what they would like to do as a Shine Councillor this year. Our ideas were to help others follow the Christian Values, to help others be kind, to show others what it means to be kind to others.
We decided that we would plan a Worship for the whole school around the Christian Value of Kindness. This might also fall around Anti-Bullying Week in November. Mrs Walton & Mrs Kelly will help us to plan this Worship.
