Summer Term message from Mrs Kelly:

Welcome back !

Year 3 have an exciting Summer Term ahead filled with fun, learning, and memorable experiences! As part of their history learning, pupils will step back in time to explore the Romans through a workshop with Mr Warrell. They will also have the opportunity to show off  their talents in a lively singing performance and enjoy a fascinating visit to Ribchester Museum, where they can explore real Roman artefacts. In their upcoming learning, children will be exploring light in Science, investigating how it helps us see and how shadows are formed, while in Design and Technology they will be designing and making their own greenhouses using wood.

This is just a glimpse of what lies ahead!

Please take a look at the documents below so you can find out more about what we will be learning.

Year 3 Ribchester Museum Visit

Posted: May 1, 2024 by: N Kelly (N.Kelly) on: Year 3 Blog

Year 3 had a fantastic time on their trip to the Roman Museum in Ribchester today.

They learnt all about the Roman army including the armour they wore and weapons they used in battle. They even had the opportunity to try on replica armour. We enjoyed looking at the Roman bath ruins and exploring the historic village.
